Planet consists of many different Blocks. Block can be mined. Once it is mined, it becomes Resource and have to be stored. Resources can be transformed to other Resources or Products.

Block won’t disappear (and block movement) until it is fully mined. Mined Resources can occupy quite a significant space, so creating a lot of empty space can be a challenge and would require to dump Earth on ground or reprocess into something else.
